Harlem Heat Project Puts Sensors in Field

The Harlem Heat Project placed its first batch of its heat index sensors in the field on Saturday, when journalists, scientists and Harlem residents serving as citizen scientists gathered at the headquarters of the project’s community partner WE ACT to share insights about the problems of urban heat, and to receive training on how to use the DIY sensors.

GOTHAM GAZETTE: Resiliency Planning Post-Sandy: An Interview with Daniel Zarrilli

AdaptNY news partner Gotham Gazette this week published an extensive interview with Daniel Zarrilli, one of New York's top resiliency officials. Zarrilli, who had been serving in the Bloomberg administration, was recently named by Mayor Bill de Blasio as director of the city's new Office of Recovery and Resiliency.
